About us
The European Educational Standards Body (EESB), also known as CPD Europe, is a non-governmental organisation setup with the purpose of maintaining and promoting high-quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards across training courses.
We work with training providers to ensure their courses meet our standards. Courses that qualify, demonstrate to their students that they are professionally constructed, deliver information effectively and offer support when required.
Open standards initiative
We publish our framework for evaluating CPD courses so that anyone can access the framework. This avoids any shady backroom deals, allows students to see exactly what they can expect from an accredited provider and allows other CPD organisations to align around a common consensous of what constitutes professional-grade training.
Our current framework can be found on the accreditation page.
Anonymous reporting and complaints
If, as a student, an accredited training course has not met the standards outlined in our framework, we recommend you raise this issue with the training provider. However, if you do not receive a satisfactory response, or would prefer to raise the issue anonymously, you are entitled to complain to the EESB and we will then investigate.
